Kristen Stewart keeps evolving her hairstyle—and we're glued to every new tweak, trim, and transformation. First, she kicked off 2025 by going blonde; a few months later, she added hot pink dip-dye ends to her bleach blonde. Then, she ditched the bleach and went dark with a very Bella Swan-adjacent brunette and some choppy baby bangs. But she wasn't done there! The actor and director just made yet another update to her look and we're all abuzz over it.

Stewart, who recently made her directorial debut with the film The Chronology of Water, attended the 2025 Governors Awards in Los Angeles with a fun new addition to her brunette and baby bangs combo: an undercut! Hairstylist Adir Abergel, who frequently works with Stewart, pulled the actor-director's hair up into a classic, simple ponytail to show off the newly shaved portion, which stretches from her temples all the way around. If she wore her hair down, you might not even see the shaved sections, but the ponytail provides the perfect peekaboo effect and lets the undercut take center stage on the red carpet.

The finished hairstyle is so perfectly Stewart: a little edgy, a little grungy, and a little punk rock mixed up with her signature fearless, effortlessly cool charm and elegance. Makeup artist Mai Quynh matched the vibes perfectly with a winged reddish-brown smoky eye that extended past Stewart's outer corners to the tip of her brow and just the tiniest hint of mascara.

Stewart and Abergel have been experimenting with different lengths and looks for literal decades, including some of her best short hairstyles, chunky orange highlights, and a wet-look mullet, among many others. The Governors Awards are the unofficial precursor to awards season, so if this is a taste of what's to come from Stewart in the next few months, we're all in.
